The Director of the OB Department is a licensed RN with at least 5 years of clinical experience in OB and newborn care, and previous management or leadership experience.
Must hold an active RN license in TN or a compact state license with intent to obtain TN license within 30 days.
Current BLS/CPR certification required.
Responsibilities include developing departmental goals, managing clinical and operational functions, overseeing staff and budget, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining quality standards.
The role involves coordinating patient care, providing clinical guidance, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. The director may also provide direct or indirect patient care and works closely with the Nursing Administration Team, reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer.
