Immediate opening for a Manager, US Tax Compliance in Woodridge IL who possesses:
- Masters or CPA
- 6+ years of tax accounting experience that includes tax compliance & provision experience
- C-Corp accounting experience
- Advanced / Expert level Excel proficiency that includes:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Financial Reporting of Income Taxes
- Responsible for the preparation of the monthly and annual U.S. income tax provisions.
- Lead and execute self-initiated continuous improvement initiatives to standardized and streamline procedures to centralize and support the timely and accurate financial reporting of income taxes.
- Monitor and assess tax risks, including the review of uncertain tax positions to ensure compliance with IAS 12 accounting standards.
Compliance
- Responsible for the review of the calculation of all tax installments.
- Responsible for the preparation and review of all U.S. income and franchise tax returns.
- Responsible for the monitoring of all annual report filings.
- Review tax fixed asset calculations (familiarity with FAS/Sage preferred).
- Identify and recommend standardized policies and procedures to centralize and support the efficient, timely and accurate preparation of all filings.
- Review Annual returns for foreign affiliate.
- Assemble transfer pricing documentation including working with other members of the Tax Department regarding the new documentation requirements pursuant to BEPS initiative.
- Responsible for the co-ordination of the annual Research and Development Tax Credit claim.
- Responsible for the co-ordination of transfer pricing documentation.
Controversy
- Effectively manage all tax audits and respond to all tax notices and related correspondence.
Tax planning/Special projects
- Continuously identify opportunities, provide recommendations and implement opportunities to minimize cash taxes, lower effective tax rate, and create value for key stakeholders.
