The Trauma Research Manager is responsible for the overall development and oversight of the Trauma Research Program, and for elements required for American College of Surgeons (ACS) Level 1 Trauma Center verification pertaining to research and scholarship.
The objectives of the Memorial Health Trauma Research Program are research and scholarly activity that (1) promotes the mission of Memorial Health Trauma to become the premier academic Trauma Center in the United States; (2) optimizes care of injured patients; (3) utilizes community-based participatory investigations.
The Trauma Research Manager tracks and oversees all Memorial Trauma research efforts and initiatives in accordance with the criteria and standards established by Memorial Health, its associated institutions, the State of Georgia, and the ACS. The Manager is also responsible for the clinical research administrative and operational responsibilities essential to the successful initiation, completion and/or implementation of Memorial Health Hospital Trauma Department research projects and maintenance of Level 1 research requirements.
Education/Experience
· PhD in any of the medical sciences required
· 5+ years of trauma clinical research experience required
· 10+ publications in the last 3 years required
· 10+ local, regional and national presentations at surgical/trauma meetings over the past 3 years (including abstract submissions, oral and poster presentations) required
