AES Clean Energy is recruiting for the position of Manager within the Transmission Strategy department. The Transmission Strategy department is responsible for performing transmission system analysis to steer AES Clean Energy greenfield prospecting efforts and support the interconnection for our large utility-scale project portfolio.
Job Description
This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about renewable energy and seeking high-growth work environment. The Transmission Strategy department actively tracks and analyzes transmission systems not just as they exist today, but how they will exist in the future. The department is instrumental in the strategic siting efforts of the entire development platform.
The position will be responsible for setting up and running a variety of innovative, automated power flow studies using power flow and coding software. As an internal power flow study expert, this position will work with internal Strategic Development team, and external entities including Transmission Owners, ISO/RTO to review, analyze and replicate generator interconnection study results.
Location and Travel Requirements
The person could be based in one of our EAST region offices or work remotely. Some travel will be required (~10%).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
In partnership with internal stakeholders, lead to the successful execution of both new and acquired projects across the United States.

Salary and Benefits
The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $138,000 and $172,550/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
