We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Manager, Total Rewards & Benefits to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our company's compensation and benefits programs. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with senior leadership and HR teams to ensure our rewards and benefits strategies align with company goals and objectives. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of total rewards best practices, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of managing benefits and compensation programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration of the company's benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and other benefits.
  • Coordinate with brokers and vendors to ensure the efficient delivery of benefits services.
  • Oversee the annual open enrollment process and ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Manage the 401(k) administration, including compliance, reporting, and employee communication.
  • Utilize HRIS systems for benefits and compensation data management and reporting.
  • Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and report necessary or suggested changes to management.
  • Coordinate with the HR team and finance department in the preparation of budgets for benefits and compensation.
  • Perform compensation analysis and provide recommendations for salary structures and bonus plans.
  • Negotiate with vendors for cost-effective and quality benefits services.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements of various employee benefit programs and prepares and executes benefits documentation.
  • Conduct data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of the benefits and compensation programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits and compensation management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits administration, vendor management, broker management, open enrollment, 401(k) administration, HRIS systems, benefit renewals, compensation analysis, Form 5500, COBRA administration, and vendor negotiation.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems such as Workday and Oracle.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws related to benefits and compensation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation is preferred.
