Now Brewing – Manager, Technology Operations (Services)! #tobeapartner

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

As a Manager, Technology Operations (Services), you’ll direct and coordinate a 24x7 Technology Operations team that supports critical environments and partner-facing technology. You’ll lead daily operations, strengthen incident and problem management, use metrics to drive improvements, and partner across teams to increase operational maturity.

As a Manager, Technology Operations (Services), you will…

  • Lead a 24x7 operations team (system administrators and operations analysts), setting goals, coaching talent, and building strong Tier 1/Tier 2 support methods and practices.

  • Drive operational excellence through data-informed metrics, continuous improvement, and strong incident/problem management—including escalations and clear communication.

  • Partner across the business and IT to improve overall operational maturity, oversee changes to the technical environment, and ensure teams are aligned to standards and policies.

  • Manage service outcomes and vendors by monitoring service providers, coordinating cross-team resolution, and managing operating costs against budget.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a combination of education and related work experience

  • 5+ years of technology-related work experience

  • 3+ years leading in a support function

Preferred qualifications

Additionally, Starbucks offers 100% upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, student loan management resources, and access to other educational opportunities. You will also have access to backup care and DACA reimbursement. Starbucks will comply with any applicable state and local laws regarding employee leave benefits, including, but not limited to providing time off pursuant to the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, and in accordance with its plans and policies. This list is subject to change depending on collective bargaining in locations where partners have a certified bargaining representative. About the Company

S

Starbucks

Every day, we go to work hoping to do two things: share great coffee with our friends and help make the world a little better. It was true when the first Starbucks opened in 1971, and it’s just as true today.

Back then, the company was a single store in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. From just a narrow storefront, Starbucks offered some of the world’s finest fresh-roasted whole bean coffees. The name, inspired by Moby Dick, evoked the romance of the high seas and the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders.

In 1981, Howard Schultz (Starbucks chairman and chief executive officer) had first walked into a Starbucks store. From his first cup of Sumatra, Howard was drawn into Starbucks and joined a year later.

In 1983, Howard traveled to Italy and became captivated with Italian coffee bars and the romance of the coffee experience. He had a vision to bring the Italian coffeehouse tradition back to the United States. A place for conversation and a sense of community. A third place between work and home. He left Starbucks for a short period of time to start his own Il Giornale coffeehouses and returned in August 1987 to purchase Starbucks with the help of local investors.

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection.
