POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager Supply Chain is responsible for managing supply chain functions, which may include production planning, forecasting, material procurement, inventory control, warehousing, rate setting, outsourcing, vendor selection, and/or distribution. Will manage supply chain projects to ensure that they are on time and within budgetary controls.
This role will be working 3 days onsite at our Cranberry Township location.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, implements and continuously improves functions or assigned functions of supply chain.
- Develop forecasting, inventory management and supplier capacity management to ensure optimum and cost-effective product availability
- Assures that departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement of products and processes.
- Maintains records and data essential to material programs including materials resource planning.
- Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.
- Participates in supplier and vendor negotiations.
- Reports on metrics that drive value for the business.
- Executes the strategic plan for supply chain, including supplier management, internal & external collaborative relationships and cost structure.
- Plans, directs and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team of individual contributors.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field.
- 8+ years progressive supply chain or logistics experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
- Periodic travel is required, including the potential for international travel
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation and reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
