    SBIC Compliance Manager (Investment Fund Reporting & Compliance)

    Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid) | Open to Remote


    Overview

    We are seeking an experienced SBIC Compliance Manager to oversee financial reporting and regulatory compliance for Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) funds. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely reporting to the SBA while partnering with internal investment and finance teams to support fund operations.

    This is a high-impact position for someone who understands fund structures, portfolio activity, and the nuances of SBIC reporting requirements.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead preparation and review of quarterly and annual SBIC financial reporting, including:
    • Form 468 (Quarterly & Annual Fund Financials)
    • Ensure timely submission (quarterly within 45 days, annual within 90 days)
    • Manage portfolio financing reporting (Form 1031):
    • Prepare and submit filings for all qualifying portfolio company investments
    • Ensure filings are completed within 30 days of quarter-end
    • Coordinate with internal teams on:
    • Portfolio valuation inputs
    • Investment activity tracking
    • Financial statement accuracy and completeness
    • Monitor compliance with SBA SBIC regulations, including valuation and reporting standards
    • Improve reporting processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy
    • Serve as a key point of contact for SBIC-related reporting inquiries, audits, and reviews


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
    • 3+ years of experience in:
    • Investment funds, private equity, or venture capital
    • SBIC fund reporting strongly preferred
    • Hands-on experience with:
    • Form 468 and Form 1031 (highly preferred)
    • Fund-level financial reporting and portfolio tracking
    • Strong understanding of:
    • Fund structures and capital activity
    • Portfolio company investment reporting
    • Regulatory compliance frameworks
    • High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines


    Compensation

    • $100k - $150k + bonus (commensurate with experience)
