This leader owns the strategy, delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement of Growth-specific learning and development programs, including onboarding pathways, sales training, leadership development, CareConnect adoption, and Value-Based Enterprise (VBE) education.

The role serves as the primary learning partner to Growth Operations and Growth Leadership, ensuring Growth team members have the knowledge, skills, tools, and behaviors required to effectively represent Compassus, strengthen referral partnerships, advance patient access to care, and achieve sustainable growth. This leader manages a team of trainers and facilitators and works in close partnership with the People Experience team to align enterprise leadership development and organizational learning strategy.

This is a Nashville-based role (preferred) with 50%+ travel, including onsite support at new VBE markets when they open; onboarding and advanced training are delivered in person at the corporate office.

Key Responsibilities

Growth capability strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Growth learning strategy aligned to organizational priorities and business objectives, and establish annual learning priorities for Growth teams.
  • Build capability roadmaps that support growth initiatives and market expansion.
  • Partner with Growth leaders to identify performance gaps and translate business priorities into scalable learning solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

Team leadership and field trainer network

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Growth Training team, including trainers, facilitators, and future training specialists.
  • Establish standards for facilitation excellence and learner experience, and create trainer certification and facilitation quality programs.
  • Conduct performance management, coaching, and development planning, and build succession plans and internal trainer pipelines.
  • Manage team priorities, capacity, and resource allocation, and develop the Field Sales Trainer program and dotted-line trainer network.

Growth learning programs and leadership development

  • Own role-specific learning journeys for Growth roles (e.g., Hospice and Home Health Care Consultants, Clinical Liaisons, Care and Patient Transition Coordinators, Area Market Executives, and Regional Growth Leaders), including role-readiness standards, certification requirements, field readiness assessments, and accelerated ramp-to-productivity.
  • Develop Growth leaders at all levels through programs such as AME Academy, New Leader Development, Growth Leadership Foundations, and CareConnect Leadership Certification.
  • Partner with People Experience leadership development programs to ensure alignment with Compassus leadership expectations and culture.

Value-Based Enterprise (VBE) education

  • Lead the Growth-facing VBE education strategy and support launch readiness for new VBE markets while delivering ongoing training for existing markets.
  • Translate complex value-based care concepts into practical field application and develop market-specific implementation resources.
  • Partner with VBE Operations, Clinical, and Growth leaders to maintain current content and ensure teams understand how VBE initiatives support patient outcomes, referral relationships, and business performance.

Content strategy, innovation, and change enablement

  • Serve as the Growth subject-matter leader for learning content, partnering with People Experience instructional designers to develop facilitator guides, participant materials, playbooks, job aids, simulations, assessments, video content, digital pathways, and certification programs.
  • Ensure content remains current with Growth strategy, service-line offerings, VBE initiatives, CRM enhancements, referral-partner expectations, and regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Support adoption of Growth initiatives - market launches, VBE expansion, CRM enhancements, new service offerings, CareConnect evolution, and operational process changes - through learning and reinforcement plans that drive sustained behavior change.

Measurement and strategic partnerships

  • Establish a learning analytics strategy that demonstrates business value, tracking ramp-to-productivity, training completion, certification attainment, learner readiness, CareConnect and VBE adoption, training effectiveness, retention, and Growth productivity indicators.
  • Use data to continuously improve learning programs and prioritize future investments.
  • Act as the primary learning partner for Growth Operations, Regional Growth Leaders, VBE Leadership, Clinical Operations, Marketing, Compliance, and People Experience, building cross-functional partnerships that align learning solutions with organizational goals.

Education and/or Experience

  • Experience in sales enablement, learning and development, healthcare training, or Growth leadership, including building and scaling training programs. [Recommend 5+ years given the strategic and people-leadership scope.]
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare growth, home health, hospice, post-acute care, or value-based care environments.
  • Experience facilitating live, virtual, and blended learning, with proven ability to both build curriculum content and deliver engaging live training.
  • Experience leading or developing a team of trainers, facilitators, or learning professionals.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and written communication skills, and experience working with senior leaders and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, communication, and influence skills.
  • Preferred: home health or hospice experience; value-based care or VBE experience; sales leadership experience; experience training on clinical/regulatory topics specific to home health and hospice (eligibility, conditions of participation, compliance).
  • Preferred: familiarity with CRM platforms and sales performance dashboards; instructional design or adult-learning experience; LMS and learning-technology and analytics experience; multi-site healthcare organization experience.
