    The Field Business Development Support Specialist (Field BDSS) supports the sales efforts of field-based Business Development Officers (BDO's) with the goal of driving net new assets to the firm. The role is designed to help Managing Directors and BDO's grow Schwab's market share through sophisticated sales discovery and development. They deliver a myriad of support elements to help BDO's be successful in their sales efforts as well as provide exceptional client experience during the deal development process and advisor onboarding.

    You will educate prospects and then organize and execute processes related to the onboarding and setup of complex advisor relationships, answer questions, prepare data reports, liaise with partners, and support important manager functions. In addition, you will provide the highest level of support to prospects of Schwab Advisor Services and discuss the steps that transitioning advisors may take to help their practices and build their relationship with Schwab.

    What you have

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • Valid and active FINRA Series 7 and 63 Licenses
    • 3+ years financial services experience
    • Experience in client service or sales support
    • Well organized with good time-management skills
    • Strong client service skills with ability to anticipate and resolve problems with own initiative
    • Excellent follow-up skills for client communications and in managing processes/workflows with internal and external partners
    • Knowledge of Schwab products and services and brokerage industry including operations and trading
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong PC skills in MS office applications including OneNote, EXCEL and PowerPoint are required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Schwab Advisor Services experience highly preferred

    In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
