Key Responsibilities
Financial and Economic Analysis
Evaluate the financial impact of new grid architecture designs and technology deployments.
Conduct comprehensive cost-benefit analyses to determine the economic viability of new technologies and initiatives.
Identify and estimate benefits, calculate avoided costs, and assess capital and operations and maintenance efficiencies.
Develop financial models and supporting analysis to inform investment decision-making.
Business Case Development and Strategic Recommendations
Develop business cases with supporting cost, technology, and financial analysis.
Prepare recommendations and presentation materials to support leadership decision-making.
Align business cases with regulatory requirements to support approval and cost recovery strategies.
Identify regulatory and policy considerations that may impact project outcomes.
Program Leadership and Project Oversight
Lead projects with significant impact to the organization by applying technical and analytical expertise.
Coordinate resources, organize project workflows, and guide teams toward achieving program objectives.
Manage external contracts and services associated with strategic initiatives.
Evaluate proposed standards or policy changes and assess their operational and financial impacts.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, regulatory affairs, and operations.
Communicate business insights and project developments to leadership and project stakeholders.
Support decision-making through clear and actionable analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Seven or more years of experience in modeling, forecasting, and economic analysis related to grid architecture, grid technology deployment, or similar areas.
Strong understanding of utility finance, economic principles, and financial modeling techniques.
Demonstrated experience conducting complex economic and financial analysis.
Proven track record of leading complex projects.
