Job Summary:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Manager, Registration provides Administrative support, advice, and assistance to meet and expedite needs for Registration. This position is responsible for supervising a team of clerical staff, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of data and applications, and facilitating the registration process.
Job Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and manages team of registration staff.
- Works collaboratively with leadership.
- Determines training needs and provides training as needed.
- Establishes goals for assigned personnel.
- Analyzes, develops, and implements operations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains efficient system for collecting, organizing, and maintaining registration data and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to confidentiality and data protection policies.
- Monitor and report on registration activities and outcomes.
- Ensures Federal regulations are adhered to when issuing Certificate Degree Indian Blood (CDIB) cards.
- Reviews all submitted documentation for accurate data/facts for certification purposes.
- Drafts/types correspondence to members/prospective citizens for documentation.
- Travels to sites to assist with applications.
- Other duties as assigned.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
- Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
- Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- An additional two (2) years of experience in a related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
