Job Summary
This position oversees the Indiana region (multiple hospitals) of Engineering and Maintenance, Life Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Emergency Response, and Grounds operations. The role ensures that knowledge, best practices, and resources across all campuses within the region are shared to maximize systemwide efficiency and reliability. This position will lead the region in establishing consistent standards and promoting systemness within the Maintenance Department to support a rapidly growing organization. Responsibilities include maintaining digital files to ensure department-wide access to critical data at any time, supporting operational transparency and productivity. The role will also strategically integrate predictive maintenance and AI-driven technologies into maintenance processes to enhance efficiency and decision-making from a system perspective. The position collaborates closely with the System Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager and Capital Construction Project Managers in developing and managing projects. Additionally, this individual serves as the primary representative of the region, acting as the key contact for hospital departments, external partners, and regulatory agencies related to these areas of responsibility. This system will support the initiatives rolled out by the System and provide support to the other regions as needed.

Work with System Engineering Manager and Capital Construction Project Managers while developing and managing projects.
Acts as representative of Deaconess Hospital and is the contact person for the Hospital and outside agencies as it relates to this position.
Building Maintenance
Maintain a Preventive Maintenance program to allow the Health System to operate at the highest efficiency.
Develop plan and schedule for E&M Projects based on capital budget.
Maintain E&M Project List and timeline on a biweekly basis.
Maintain System (Electrical, Water, etc) expert for each system to be utilized across campuses to coordinate emergency, outages and shutdowns.
Manage the TMS System and continue to utilize more functions within the system.
Life Safety and Regulatory
Responsible to ensure the buildings are in compliance with HFAP, Federal, State and local regulations.
Manage risk of non-compliant items and develop an action plan based on risk analysis.
Emergency Response
Maintain an emergency response plan to ensure coverage at each campus.
Grounds
Maintain a grounds program for each campus sharing resources.
Operational and Capital Budget:
Develop budget utilizing Site Managers at each campus.
Required Certification/License/Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), Minimum of five years' relevant experience working in hospital facilities and/or hospital maintenance management or hospital construction management position
Preferred Certification/License/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a BS degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field, Minimum of ten years' relevant experience as an E&M Manager/Supervisor or Construction Manager
