Manager, Recruiting | Store Operations

Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for developing and managing the recruiting strategy for the Stores Operations team. This position is also responsible for leading the store recruiting team, ensuring their development and effectiveness. This position is responsible for full cycle recruitment for the Senior level Store Operations leadership positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Manage and lead the store recruiting team, including coaching, training, mentoring, performance development, succession planning, etc.
  • Collaborate with managers, hiring managers, and Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) on insight and/or future needs for securing qualified candidates for positions including analyzing resumes and conducting follow up meetings to determine appropriate competencies, skills and abilities needed.
  • Continuously research potential resources to recruit the best talent for open positions.
  • Build networks through venues such as local markets, job fairs, social media, networking events, user groups, chamber events, and colleges.
  • Market and represent Tractor Supply Company (TSC) to potential candidates by explaining the company culture, mission, values, career opportunities, etc.
  • Analyze and manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and job offer process including determining appropriate offers, onboarding, and efficiency improvements of the hiring process.
  • Oversee and verify the recruiting budget including forecasting and cost saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Senior Store Operations leadership on the recruitment of District Manager, RVP and SVP positions

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with a focus on recruiting. 2 years in a supervisory role is preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Knowledge in Applicant Tracking System management
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of recruiting methods, laws, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of budget planning, forecasting, and general financial considerations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to plan, strategize, and understand how open positions related to TSC as a whole.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of recruiting professionals.
  • Detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
