Title: Manager, Quality Control \n \nDate: Mar 6, 2026\n \nLocation:\n \nSouth El Monte, US, 91733 \n \nCompany: VACCO Industries\n \nPay Range: $100,112 - 133,115\n \nSUMMARY:\n \nManages the development and implementation of Quality Control function to insure that VACCO Products meet specifications and contractual agreements.\n \nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n \nDevelop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.\n \nFormulate and maintain quality assurance/control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.\n \nCreate and implement inspection criteria and procedures.\n \nMonitor and improve as necessary receiving inspection cycle time.\n \nInterpret quality assurance/control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.\n \nCoordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.\n \nOversee receipt inspection activities and in-process inspection for product throughout production cycle providing necessary manpower.\n \nApply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.\n \nManage workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products. \n \nWork with vendors and Supplier Quality Manager to insure the quality of all purchased parts for company use.\n \nPlay active role in assuring quality of all purchased parts for company use by responding to requests from Purchasing personnel for on-site source inspection when deemed necessary.\n \nDesign and implement quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.\n \nInvestigate and respond to customer rejections or complaints with regard to quality control.\n \nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n \nDirectly supervises employees in the Quality Control Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\n \nQUALIFICATIONS:\n \nDirect knowledge or experience with Six Sigma training, strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Negotiation expertise is preferred. Proficiency in all MS office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Strong analytical skills and writing skills are required. Hands on experience involving product verification, using standard MTE and completion of first article inspections.\n \nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: \n \nBachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline. A minimum of six (6) years of quality related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience including a minimum of four (4) years of Management experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. \n \nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n \nDirectly supervises employees in the Quality Control Department. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\n \nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\n \nMajority of work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort. Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions. On occasion may be required to enter production area where the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and/or fumes or airborne particles.
