Position Overview
We're looking for a strong operational leader to manage and develop our Purchasing Operations team.
This is an office-based leadership role focused on building a high-performing team, improving processes, implementing KPIs, and creating accountability across the department. You'll lead a team of 7-10 purchasing professionals while ensuring purchasing operations run efficiently and support the business without disruption.
Purchasing experience is not required. We can teach purchasing. We're looking for a leader who knows how to develop people, improve operations, analyze data, solve problems, and create scalable processes.
What You'll Own
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7-10 purchasing professionals.
Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Establish department KPIs and use data to drive performance.
Improve workflows, SOPs, and operational processes to increase efficiency.
Analyze reports, identify trends, and proactively solve operational challenges.
Oversee purchasing execution, including purchase orders, supplier follow-up, inventory reporting, and order tracking.
Ensure inbound containers, documentation, and purchasing records are accurate and completed on time.
Partner with Planning, Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations to keep the business running smoothly.
Leverage Excel and ERP systems to improve reporting, visibility, and decision-making.
What We're Looking For
5+ years leading an office-based operations team.
Experience managing and developing professional employees in an office environment.
Proven success implementing KPIs, improving processes, and driving accountability.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and solve complex business problems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience working with ERP or other business systems.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Purchasing experience is not required. We will train the right operational leader.
