We are looking for an exceptional maintenance leader with a wide skillset and deep understanding of equipment maintenance to join our Optimus team. The Manager will be responsible for managing, inspiring, and developing a team made up of Associate Managers, Supervisors, Technicians, and Leads. The successful candidate will have proven experience in all facets of manufacturing maintenance to support ramp-up production and new models and/or equipment introduction when required. They must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect part quality, production efficiency, work cell ergonomics, equipment maintenance, etc. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent. Key Responsibilities: Direct leadership of multiple maintenance crews supporting 24/7 operations with increased demand during the ramp-up. Train, develop, and manage the maintenance team. Work with engineering and operations regularly to ensure needs are aligned. Provide reports on equipment status as needed. Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and schedules for existing and future equipment while ensuring adherence to a safe work culture and improving upon safety as needed. Assist with budget development and reporting. Manage and coordinate contract services as needed. Work with inventory management to track and maintain spares and specialized tooling while maintaining spare parts inventory, identifying and ordering needed parts, and updating the tracking system. Equipment Operation Availability & OEE improvement: System development to track current shop conditions and identification of key areas of improvement. Breakdown management: Understanding of short-term vs. long-term actions and systems used to prevent repeat occurrences. Set maintenance KPI targets & strategies, ensuring execution to plan at each level of the maintenance organization. Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a technical field preferred. 9 years of experience in an equipment maintenance role and 6 years of experience in a leadership role preferred. Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal, plus experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment/facilities. Knowledge of Robotic and PLC controls programming skills. Bonus if experience is with Fanuc Robotics systems. Understanding of environmental & machine safety requirements and Lean manufacturing concepts with regards to equipment application and the need for continuous improvement. Experience and thorough knowledge of production systems and processes. Experience managing teams of people in a production environment by working efficiently and productively in both independent and team settings. Able to remain engaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for team performance while working well under pressure and managing competing demands against tight deadlines. Fluent with common MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, and mastery of CMMS core functions. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
