Job Title: Manager of Plant Operations
Location: 1405 Shady Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full Time, 6:30am / 7:00am start time. Onsite Position 
 
The Manager of Plant Operations assists in the daily management and oversight of all facilities and operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment. This role manages infrastructure systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical; coordinates maintenance and vendor services; and fleet operations. The Plant Manager plays a key role in safety compliance, emergency preparedness, and team leadership, ensuring continuous operational support and improvement.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily plant operations including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, fire safety, elevators, and plumbing systems.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and urgent repairs across facilities.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Oversee plant vehicle fleet usage, maintenance, safety checks, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise plant operations staff, managing schedules, performance, and development.
  • Remain on-call for emergency responses, utility issues, and safety concerns 24/7 as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or 5 years related field experience required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience (2) years responsibility at a manager level or (3) years’ supervisory experience in maintenance, emergency preparedness and security in a health care related facility or educational facility is preferred. 
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid PA Driver’s License
  • Clearances Required: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, and Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
