The Manager, of Non-Invasive Cardiology oversees the performance, daily operations, programs, and activities consistent with Senior Leadership’s objectives. Supervises nuclear medicine technologists, vascular technologists, echocardiography technologists, and nursing staff (RNs and/or medical assistants) in the Echo Cardiology Department and Mission Cardiovascular Diagnostics.
Non-Invasive Manager has responsibility for Adult and Pediatric Echo, Stress testing, and Nuclear Imaging at Mission Hospital and 4 off-site locations. This includes Echo Techs, RN's, Radiology Techs, and Exercise Physiologists. Throughput for the department is around 30,000 procedures/year across all locations. The Manager is supported by 5 supervisors, an educator, and a medical director. These departments support our Advanced Heart Failure Program, Structural Heart Team, Cardiothoracic Surgical program, and Asheville Cardiology Associates practices throughout the region. Asheville Cardiology Associates is our practice partner and employees 35 physicians and 15 APP's. All together this position is responsible for 55 FTE's. Apply to learn more about the position!
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
Preferred License: Certification/registration in one of the following clinical fields: nuclear medicine or echocardiography.
Required Experience: Strong operations experience with three to five years of technical and managerial experience in area. Demonstrated excellence in staff and physician relationship management. Financial management skills including budget development, capital budgeting, productivity management. Proficient with computer software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Intranet software, e-mail.
Preferred Experience: Experience with Electronic Medical Record system(s) and Cardiovascular IT software.
