Overall focus on the development of Bell Maintenance Associates to achieve maximum performance, safety, and engagement. This role assesses maintenance team members to identify skill gaps and development needs and creates learning experiences that support technical excellence, safety compliance, and customer service consistency in alignment with Bell Core Values.
This role will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of maintenance operations training that supports CBMT, safety initiatives, maintenance systems, and service excellence across Bell communities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Learning Design and Development
Design, develop, and update training programs for maintenance team members in partnership with the Instructional Design team.
Support the design, development, and execution of the Bell Annual Leadership Conference as assigned.
Stay current on maintenance training standards, safety regulations, and adult learning best practices through seminars, forums, and professional development.
Determine the most effective delivery methods (hands-on, virtual, in-person, job aids, video, etc.) and deliver training as required.
Design and develop video-based and hands-on technical training content in collaboration with Instructional Design and Maintenance Subject Matter Experts.
Create evaluations and measurement tools to assess skill acquisition and training effectiveness.
Leverage tools and resources to reinforce learning application and retention.
Maintain strong collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and field teams to ensure relevance and applicability.
Maintenance-Specific Programs
Manage and support maintenance learning programs including:
Certified Bell Maintenance Training (CBMT)
Safety and compliance training
Maintenance systems and tools
Customer service and resident interaction standards
Maintain the Rock It Booster program including gathering topics, design and development, communicating, and providing feedback and support to the regional leaders.
Support maintenance onboarding and role-specific development pathways.
Partner with Maintenance Leadership and Safety/Risk teams on initiative launches and program enhancements.
Evaluation, Assessment, and Reporting
Conduct needs assessments for maintenance roles across the organization.
Evaluate performance, safety, and operational trends and recommend development solutions.
Partner with leadership, Regional Maintenance team, and field teams to support training tied to process changes, system enhancements, and compliance requirements.
Utilize the LMS to track certifications, completion, and program effectiveness; develop leadership dashboards and reports.
Partner with Human Resources to address performance and safety trends through targeted development efforts.
Learning Delivery
Coordinate training schedules with field and home office leadership to meet operational needs.
Manage inventories of training tools, materials, and resources to ensure high-quality delivery.
Create maintenance training communications as needed.
Measure learner progress and recommend strategies to reinforce learning on the job.
Facilitate team-building and engagement sessions when appropriate.
Project Management
Manage multiple maintenance training initiatives from concept through implementation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of adult learning, facilitation, and instructional design methodologies
Experience supporting maintenance, safety, or skilled-trade teams
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, technical documentation, and operating instructions
Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Willingness to travel within the United States
Education and Background:
Bachelors degree or equivalent technical or training experience
Minimum five (5) years experience in training, maintenance operations, or workforce development
Experience in large, multi-site organizations preferred
Safety, maintenance, or assessment certifications a plus
