Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary:

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Imaging Department.
• Responsible for entire operation of the department in the absence of the Director or AVP.
• Performs a variety of duties including but not limited to staffing, scheduling, payroll and productivity management.
• Coordinates patient flow to and from Imaging Department.
• Assists medical staff when necessary.
• Will ensure adequate coverage of all shifts and proper radiation safety.
• Will observe and counsel employees regarding performance, conduct, and attendance.
• Will maintain the supplies to a minimum.
• Will verify patient chargeable items are properly charged in a timely manner.
• Shall assist in the Quality Improvement Program and actively participate in training programs of the department.

What qualifications you will need:

Licensure, Certification, Registration:

• Must be registered or eligible by ARRT (R).
• Must be state licensed MRT from Texas Medical Board
• BLS certification from HCA approved vendor.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Science or Business Administration or currently be enrolled in program and actively working toward completion of degree.

Experience:

• Three years’ supervisory experience required.
• Must have Excel, Word and various operating and computer systems experience.
• Must be able to take call.
