Serve as the principal business architect and policy owner for forecasting, budgeting, Oracle Essbase, and Dodeca solutions. Lead a team responsible for developing and implementing financial reporting solutions across the enterprise that align with the company's business objectives and drive efficiency and consistency.   • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Information Management, Computer/Information Science, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or other related fields; or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience as an Essbase developer with knowledge of how to run Calc scripts, load rules, dimension builds
  • 5+ years of analytic experience
  • Strong analytical and Technical Data Modeling skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to articulate and present financial systems requirements in a clear manner to both business and technology audiences
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage direct reports
  • Proven leadership skills/management skills
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead projects work with contacts outside the department and company
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects

Desired

  • 5+ years of experience leading a reporting department
  • Any experience with Oracle product suite
  • Any budgeting, Six Sigma, process improvement, dashboarding and KPI experience
  • Any working knowledge of SQL, Dodeca and Hyperion Essbase
  • Any accounting center or audit experience, with a strong understanding of relational and/or OLAP databases
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong business partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Lead governance and change meetings on business outcomes relating to financial reporting systems (e.g., forecast, budgeting, Essbase, Dodeca focus)
  • Lead management and analyst team to achieve business outcomes through technology
  • Participate in the strategic design and implementation of large and/or architecturally reporting solution applications
  • Work collaboratively with Technology and Digital teams and the project manager to align priorities
  • Work with Technology to ensure the reporting solutions operating environment remain stable and meet company policies regarding access to information
  • Develop process flows related to the company's financial reporting database structure
  • Serve as a strategic partner with Retail Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, C-Stores, SPG, Merchandising and other groups/departments using and managing the company's financial reporting systems
  • Support enterprise project work (e.g., modernization, business restructuring and acquisitions) regarding financial reporting systems
  • Review and understand analytical solution needs to improve Finance department processes
  • Review current practices for budgeting, forecasting, strategy, and reporting to design and develop Business Intelligence solutions to improve those practices using Oracle/Hyperion and Business Intelligence EPM tools
  • Lead a team to build and design a flexible financial reporting toolset which allows for expansion and change as business needs evolve, and drive efficiency and consistency in the reporting process
  • Manage the technical development of Essbase programs by determining the design and structure of the Essbase databases
  • Travel to divisions to review reporting solutions
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
