Job Description:

Fosters collaborative relationships with other departments, leadership, and payors to identify areas for improvement. Manages a team of contract negotiators and staff responsible for long-term relationships with contracted health plan partners. Supports managed care leadership in identifying contract enhancement targets across multiple vendor partners and relationships. Actively seeks opportunities for contract negotiation, vendor performance evaluation, issue escalation and resolution, and onboarding new facility and professional services assets. Leads or delegates projects and assignments identified by departmental leadership, overseeing completion in a timely and effective manner. Establishes timetables and reporting of activities, utilizing measures for effectiveness where appropriate. Facilitates education and development of assigned team members, ensuring high performance and continued growth. Accepts lead negotiator assignments for high-profile health plan and network relationships as needed. Coordinates with revenue cycle operations teams and Managed Care department resources to resolve issues related to managed care contract performance. Intersects with leaders within clinically integrated networks to promote population health initiatives. Builds and manages relationships with health plan partners. Other duties as assigned.

Schedule/Shift: Hybrid (3 days onsite must reside in the Central FL area- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm est

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent quantitative, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Financial analysis and Spreadsheet experience
  • Extensive provider reimbursement knowledge
  • Developed skills to analyze, present, and evaluate managed care contract revenue issues
  • Windows Applications - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook CAQH, Apogee/MSOW

Education:

  • Bachelor's [Required]

Field of Study:

  • N/A

Work Experience:

  • 3+ in a dynamic, team-oriented environment [Required]
  • 3+ years' experience working in a multi-hospital healthcare system, large multi-discipline physician organization, or within an insurance provider or health plan [Preferred]
  • 5+ in managed care contract negotiations [Required]
  • 5+ work experience: [Required]
  • Previous management or leadership experience [Required]
