Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Dean of Student Affairs, the Campus Shop and Learning Commons Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Campus Shop and the Learning Commons.
Specific Responsibilities:
Maintain and provide information regarding the campus shop point-of-sale (POS) and inventory system.
Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
Maintain a presence on the sales floor to greet customers, answer questions, and assist with purchases of merchandise or services when necessary.
Approve all bookstore invoices and credit memos, and work with vendors and AP department to ensure all credit memos and invoices have been processed in a timely manner.
Completion of daily, weekly, and monthly sales and reconciliation reports; updates and submits reports for sales, inventory, and efficiency data as needed.
Ordering and restocking all products such as apparel, gifts, snacks, school supplies, etc.
Collaborate with the Marketing Department and outside vendors to develop new merchandise.
Plan and lead physical inventory twice a year; Maintains a current and accurate inventory record of all inventory.
Act as the Apple Campus Manager to conduct promotional campaigns, keep the display table up to date, and meet sales goals.
Conduct opening and closing procedures including cash register openings and reconciliation.
Maintain an appealing sales floor: shelf, arrange, clean, and organize product or space within the store.
Perform the day-to-day administration of the library and supervise student workers. Provide short and long-range planning; create reports; develop policies and procedures; Primary contact for maintaining Sierra (Library Software) and OhioLink.
Provide reference service and bibliographic instruction to faculty, staff and students; assist students with their research needs both in the library and online; notify faculty and staff about new materials.
Assist students, faculty and staff in locating all local materials. Process bills and fines related to patron borrowing.
Work with enrollment and student services departments on recruiting and retention strategies; assist with recruiting events, student activities, and orientation.
Serve as the liaison between Belmont College and eCampus to ensure proper adoption of course materials, assist students in ordering textbooks, and coordinating campus-based delivery options.
Provide consultation, training, and technical support to faculty and staff regarding the effective use of Canvas, the College's Learning Management System (LMS).
Other work duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
This position requires effective verbal and written communication skills; a positive and determined attitude is critical. It requires the ability to understand and follow direction, reason and solve problems, maintain accurate records, and strong organizational skills. A strong customer service orientation is essential, with the ability to remain calm and composed while dealing with difficult customer and employee situations, work under pressure, and meet inflexible deadlines. Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is important; Additional skills desirable for the position are 10 key operation, keyboarding, knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel. Several software systems will be used including, but not limited to MBS, ARC, Jenzabar, Sierra, OhioLink, eCampus. The individual will be expected to perform normal duties and responsibilities under minimal supervision.
Retail experience is required; academic retail experience a plus; strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills; strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills; strong analytical skills and financial acumen. Bachelor's degree in relevant field is preferred; associate's degree is required. 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.
Preferred
Experience in retail and/or library services/student support services.
Highly skilled in prioritization.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.

Able to adapt with changing needs.
