The role is responsible for facilitating audit requests related to Commissions and Field Banks and ensuring all related information is complete, accurate, and timely.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement a standardized process to manage the commission system.Supervise staff to ensure the commission and field bank accounting is complete and accurate.Monitor system interfaces and system enhancements impacting the commissions recorded and validate through testing that the systems are properly calculating commissions.Perform commission and field bank variance analysis and assist in forecasting the balance sheet accounts as well as cash receipts and disbursements.Assist in the creation of presentations for the Executive Leadership Team to report commission status, overdraft reserve, and field bank receipts as needed.Monitor and remediate gaps in the internal control structure of the commission and field bank areas.Review and audit balance sheet account reconciliations.Partner with key stakeholders to continuously improve processes as opportunities for improvement are identified.Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards, SOX controls and documentation.Provide relevant and timely information to the Corporate Controller and CFO on balance sheet and cash flow budget/forecast.Backup preparer for the payment run calculation and release in alignment with the cash forecast, weekly.Miscellaneous project assistance.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA license is a plus.3–4 years' accounting experience; supervisory experience a plus.Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.Experience with advanced MS applications such as PowerPivot, Power Query, and Power BI.Experience with large ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or PeopleSoft; SAP and/or Infor experience is a plus.Personal AttributesHigh level of integrity and strong communication skills.Sound business judgment, analytical skills, and a track record of owning fact‑based analyses and influencing results.Excellent organization, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Willingness to take accountability for process design and management.Customer‑service oriented, able to partner with individuals at all levels and functions.Creative, innovative, and strategic thinking to make recommendations to senior leadership.Ability to execute in an ambiguous environment with competing priorities.Leadership style aligned with Herff Jones Core Values.Physical RequirementsDaily activity includes lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.Reading, communication, math.Working at a computer for extended periods of time.Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.Typical noise level is moderate to above.Equal Opportunity EmploymentHerff Jones, Inc. and its affiliates are equal opportunity employers and maintain affirmative action plans to recruit, retain, develop, and promote qualified individuals without unlawful consideration of race, gender, gender identity, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, citizenship status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
