We are seeking a Manager, Network Operations to lead the Manhattan WMS Implementation agenda across a portfolio of Fulfillment Centers. This leader will orchestrate the end‑to‑end deployment of Manhattan WMS—from initial scoping and design through configuration, testing, go‑live, and stabilization—ensuring that new capabilities reliably improve service, accuracy, and cost across the network.
You will own implementation outcomes for your sites, lead a small team of Network Operations associates and/or site‑based project resources, and act as a key partner to Fulfillment Center leadership and Technology. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on program owner who is equally comfortable in executive reviews and on the warehouse floor during cutovers.
Own WMS implementation strategy and portfolio delivery
Lead the end‑to‑end deployment of Manhattan WMS across a set of Fulfillment Centers and/or new buildings, from discovery and design through post‑go‑live stabilization.
Partner with Network Strategy, Site Operations, and Technology to define implementation roadmaps, success metrics, and resource plans.
Translate product and network strategy into a sequenced rollout plan that balances speed, risk, and site readiness.
Lead solution design and configuration governance
Facilitate cross‑functional design workshops to define future‑state workflows (receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, returns) enabled by Manhattan WMS.
Set and govern configuration standards (e.g., storage location strategy, allocation logic, task interleaving, work queue design) to drive consistency and performance across sites.
Review and approve key design and configuration decisions, escalating risks and trade‑offs with clear, data‑backed recommendations.
Drive go‑live readiness, cutover, and stabilization
Own go‑live readiness for your sites, ensuring that people, process, and technology plans are aligned (training, SOPs, staffing, contingency plans).
Lead on‑site cutover activities: mock runs, volume ramp plans, issue triage, and coordination of cross‑functional war rooms.
Manage post‑go‑live stabilization, including issue backlogs, prioritization with Tech, and confirmation that performance meets or exceeds pre‑implementation baselines.
Lead people and cross‑functional stakeholders
Manage and develop a cross‑functional project team that may include Senior Associates, site project leads, and analysts; set clear expectations, provide feedback, and create growth opportunities.
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with Fulfillment Center leaders and other stakeholders to ensure WMS changes land in a way that supports safety, quality, productivity, and engagement.
Communicate proactively to senior stakeholders on status, risks, dependencies, and decisions through structured updates and narratives.
Own performance management and continuous improvement across sites
Define and track success metrics for each implementation (e.g., inventory accuracy, dock‑to‑stock, throughput, labor productivity, SLA adherence).
Use data from Manhattan WMS and adjacent systems to identify systemic issues and structural improvement opportunities.
Turn insights and lessons learned into repeatable playbooks, standards, and tools that improve the quality and efficiency of future rollouts.
5+ years of experience in supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, or operations, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or program ownership capacity (e.g., managing teams, large‑scale implementations, or major process transformations).
Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional programs across Operations and Technology, with clear impact on service, cost, and/or productivity.
Direct experience with WMS implementations (Manhattan strongly preferred) or other large‑scale warehouse technology deployments; ability to quickly ramp on Manhattan’s configuration model if needed.
Strong people leadership skills: track record of setting direction, coaching high‑performing teams, managing through ambiguity, and holding yourself and others accountable.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, including comfort working with operational and financial data to drive decisions and measure impact.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and align multiple teams around a shared plan.
Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% to Fulfillment Centers and hub locations based on implementation phase and site needs with periods of time closer to 100% to support launch and hypercare post launch
