Right Way Elevator is part of American Elevator Group (AEG), the largest independent elevator service company in North America, consisting of a collection of well-established elevator service companies operating throughout the United States. Backed by Arcline Investment Management, AEG has a significant footprint in the elevator industry and is rapidly growing. Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced Manager, Modernization in our St. Petersburg, FL office.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Manager, Modernization will lead and direct the performance of field service operations to drive productivity and the performance of modernization projects for the branch and customers. The Manager, Modernization will be responsible for the modernization department, including field operations, customer satisfaction and overall general business management.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate key resources and make recommendations for the Modernization Department. Hire, manage, train, and develop team members.
- Direct, supervise, and lead the performance of field operations for the Modernization team.
- Achieve all financial performance targets including profit and working capital.
- Conduct field education training ensuring that will create and maintain a safe working environment.
- Regularly perform field safety audits, jobsite inspections, and develop site safety/logistics plans.
- Coordinate all material deliveries and issuing of purchase orders.
- Forecast and schedule labor resources ensuring successful project completion, maintaining customer quality assurance, and improving efficiencies.
- Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates.
- Accountable for the outgoing quality, safety and efficacy of all modernization services, compliance with all applicable specifications, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulatory bodies.
- Establish processes and standard operating procedures and report on KPI's.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and other certification requirements.
- Survey existing elevator installations and complete vendor order forms accurately
- Assess cost basis of material and labor for modernization projects
- Prepare responses to consultant RFP's in detail
- Conduct modernization sales contracting from initial contact to signing
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience required.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build a cohesive team.
- Must have exceptional multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to establish strong relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
Work Environment & Hazards:
- Mostly office-based but may require occasional visits to field locations.
- Exposure to confidential company data and sensitive regulatory information.
Special Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel to job sites and attend meetings at multiple locations as required. Travel up to 50%.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
