About the Role:
As the Maintenance Manager you will lead the plant's Maintenance Department. Your team will maintain utilities and equipment performance and reliability in a new plant. You’ll have the opportunity to implement maintenance best practices as the leader of this department. You will ensure Production Operations meet manufacturing targets and remain cost effective. You will help to maintain a safety-first culture within the plant by providing safety training to all plant departments alongside internal partners.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the plant’s performance from a maintenance perspective and redirect Maintenance efforts as needed to correct problems
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual maintenance budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action
- Manage Maintenance personnel and the Building & Grounds Supervisor (where applicable)
- Support new product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans, discussing equipment needs and modifications with Design Engineers and coordinating activities of Technicians and workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools or equipment
- Design, implement, and modify preventative maintenance programs by reviewing production and maintenance reports and statistics
- Protect employees and contractors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment; responsible for seeing that proper safety training is provided to all plant departments
- Ensure that the Maintenance Department complies with all ISO 9002 standards established for the department
- Manage Maintenance CAPEX projects as needed
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical field preferred
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in an Industrial Maintenance or technical field; and
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; and
- Minimum five (5) years of management experience
