Summary:


Ensures the efficient and cost-effective operation of the storeroom facilities associated with Materials Management at the MetroHealth System's main campus and satellite locations. Deploys and maintains the storage/handling/distribution of hospital supplies/equipment. Manages the storeroom database and interacts with necessary procurement systems. Manages the receiving dock for inbound and outbound trucks and internal delivery of freight and small parcel. Oversee the receiving and distribution of materials, products, and equipment according to the facility's needs and requirements. Supervises a Unionized workforce in a 24-hour per day/7-day per week operation. Works collaboratively with medical staff and Supply Chain leadership to develop, maintain, and continuously improve programs/processes to ensure full compliance to all applicable policies while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Promotes and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's degree in science or business. In lieu of a degree, 3 years of warehousing and/or distribution experience will be accepted. Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred: Bachelors of Science Degree in Supply Chain Management. Three years of inventory control experience. Two years of experience supervising a Union workforce. Currently Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) or is a Certified Material and Resource Professional (CMRP) by the American Hospital Association (AHA). Experience working in Lawson. Prior Healthcare industry experience.

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
