This is a bond-funded position and is contingent on availability of funds.
Position Purpose
Responsible for conducting safety inspections and assessments for all construction projects in the District's Capital Improvement Program; ensures construction projects are consistent with approved construction practices and comply with state and local agency requirements; reviews construction schedules; helps coordinate required inspections with governmental entities; and serves as a District liaison overseeing the work performed by the general contractors, architects, and engineers on assigned projects.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education:
Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency required;
Bachelor's degree in structural or mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
Certification/License: OSHA 500 certification preferred.
Experience:
7-10 years' experience in construction management or facility maintenance required.
