    • Direct the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of districtwide parent programs designed to empower Emergent Bilingual (EB) families and increase family engagement in student academic success.

    • Oversee the creation, selection, and implementation of standards-based parent curriculum and instructional resources that address the educational, linguistic, and social-emotional needs of EB families.

    • Manage the development and implementation of supplemental curriculum, resources, and support services for refugee and newcomer families to facilitate successful transitions into Dallas ISD schools and the community.

    • Create and monitor systems to establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with community organizations, higher education institutions, and refugee resettlement agencies that provide services and resources to EB students and their families.

    • Develop and coordinate districtwide parent leadership initiatives, workshops, family engagement events, and professional learning opportunities that promote meaningful parent participation and strengthen home-school partnerships.

    • Oversee the implementation of all Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) procedures districtwide, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and district requirements while providing direct campus support.

    • Establish and monitor systems to ensure campuses conduct required LPAC meetings, including initial identification, annual reviews, designated supports, progress monitoring, and reclassification decisions for Emergent Bilingual students.

    • Manage, develop, and coordinate mandatory districtwide professional development for LPAC Chairs, campus administrators, and instructional staff to ensure consistent implementation of Chapter 89 of the Texas Administrative Code and district procedures.

    • Manage, compile, analyze, and validate Emergent Bilingual student data and oversee the accurate and timely submission of required PEIMS and state reporting while collaborating with Information Technology, Evaluation and Accountability, Testing, and Enrollment departments.

    • Direct the administration of state-required English Language Proficiency assessments for identification and monitoring of Emergent Bilingual students,ensuring compliance with state timelines, assessment requirements, and program implementation.

    • Keep abreast of current research, legislation, and best practices impacting family engagement, parent education, and Emergent Bilingual programs to support continuous program improvement.

    • Work required evenings and Saturdays as needed for Dual Language ESL Department and district events.

    • Master's Degree from an accredited university preferred.
    • 5+ years of direct experience required; Five years or more of related experience working with recent arrivals who are Emergent Bilingual (EB) students and experience.
    • Experience working with data management systems including customizations and data verification.
    • High level of expertise in the knowledge of second language acquisition and compliance as relates to EB students.
    • Leadership experience including supervising staff.
    • Extensive knowledge and expertise of federal, state, and local guidelines impacting EBs.
    • Project management and collaboration skills.
