POSITION SUMMARY
The Unit Manager is a nurse leader who provides direction, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care for assigned area on a 24-hour basis. He/she maintains current knowledge regarding techniques, skills, current practices, and regulations for the age and populations of patients served. He/she manages all personnel, supplies, and equipment necessary to facilitate quality patient care. Also functions as a Staff RN occasionally.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Currently licensed as an RN in North Carolina. BSN required.
Preferred: Minimum of 3-5 years recent clinical nursing experience. Demonstrated supervisory skills.
