Provides leadership for the Health Information Management (HIM) team across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with key indicators and enterprise objectives.
Sets policies, procedures, and standards to ensure accurate, timely operations and supports high-quality data collection through EHR development and management.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop data standards, investigate data variability issues, and ensure accurate coding for reimbursement.
Delegates tasks, monitors performance, and fosters a respectful, diverse team environment focused on accountability, development, and achieving departmental goals.
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, healthcare operations experience including Cerner system, leadership experience preferred, and current U.S. work authorization. Certifications like RHIT or RHIA are advantageous.
Responsible for daily team operations, policy implementation, quality assurance, process evaluation, and budget management, with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance with regulations.
