Core Competencies and Requirements Education • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or a related field. In exceptional cases, relevant and extensive work experience may substitute for the degree requirement. Work Experience • 3+ years of progressive experience in safety management, preferably in the aviation, logistics, or transportation industries. • Strong experience in ramp safety, operational safety, or a related field is highly desirable. • Demonstrated success in leading safety teams & implementing safety improvement initiatives. • Hands-on experience implementing safety programs and delivering training in an operational environment. Technical Skills • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, FAA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements. • OSHA 40 Hour General Industry or NSC Principles of Occupational Safety and Health completion preferred.
