Manager, GTM Engineering – Wayfair Professional

Wayfair Professional is looking for a Manager of GTM Engineering to join the Marketing Operations team. This is a high-impact, technical leadership role responsible for architecting and building the technical engine of our B2B revenue pipeline. You will move beyond traditional lead funnel management to engineer a sophisticated, automated ecosystem that powers our go-to-market motions.
As the leader of this function you will manage a team, overseeing the development of AI-driven workflows, complex data integrations, and scalable automation systems that bridge the gap between Marketing and Sales.

What You’ll Do
  • Technical Stack Architecture: Own and evolve our GTM technology stack, using tools like Clay and n8n for lead generation, enrichment, and workflow orchestration. You will design how these tools interact with Salesforce, internal APIs, and 3rd-party data sources.
  • AI-Powered Workflow Automation: Architect and deploy advanced automations that leverage AI/LLMs to perform nuanced lead vetting and personalized outreach at scale, reducing manual effort for the MKTG and Sales teams
  • Lead Funnel Engineering: Build and maintain the technical infrastructure for lead scoring and routing. You will partner with Engineering to optimize lead funnel architecture and ensure high-integrity data flow throughout the funnel.
  • People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts. You will set the technical roadmap for your team and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.
  • Systems Integration & Optimization: Identify "friction points" in the funnel and engineer solutions to resolve them. This includes building logic for complex segmentation and ensuring seamless data synchronization across our CDP (Salesforce Data Cloud), in partnership with Analytics, Engineering, etc.
  • Technical Performance Monitoring: Build robust monitoring and alerting for GTM systems to ensure 99.9% uptime for automated workflows. Translate technical performance into commercial impact reports for leadership.
What You’ll Need
  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience in GTM Engineering, Marketing Operations, or RevOps with a heavy emphasis on automation and system architecture.
  • Automation Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in low-code/no-code orchestrators (e.g., Clay, n8n). Deep understanding of integrating AI agents and LLMs into production workflows.
  • Data & Engineering Skills: Proficiency in SQL is required. Experience with Python or JavaScript for building custom nodes/scripts is highly preferred. Deep familiarity with API management and Salesforce architecture.
  • Management Experience: Proven track record of managing and developing technical talent. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for your team.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: You are capable of defining complex logic and have a "zero-defect" mentality regarding data accuracy and system reliability.
  • Communication: Ability to "manage up" to senior leaders and "manage across" to both technical and sales partners. You can explain technical architecture to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Boston HQ (Monday-Thursday will be working in office and Friday is work from home). This is not a virtual / remote position.
