Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Our client, a rapidly growing AI technology company, is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to help build and scale its FP&A function. 

Location: 
Menlo Park, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days/week in the office.

Job Description:
This role will serve as the primary internal FP&A lead, partnering closely with finance leadership to support forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making as the organization grows. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytically strong, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 

Responsibilities:
  • Own core FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting and variance analysis for leadership
  • Partner with finance and operational teams to understand business drivers and performance trends
  • Support headcount planning, spend management, and capital allocation analysis
  • Assist with board-level and executive reporting materials
  • Help establish FP&A processes, reporting cadence, and analytical frameworks from the ground up
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, automation, and financial visibility
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives as the business scales

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical roles
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Experience operating in high-growth or early-stage environments
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
