Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, technically strong Food Safety Manager to lead, implement, and continuously improve food safety programs across a large, fast‑paced campus environment. You will champion a culture of safety, ensure regulatory and brand compliance, and partner with culinary and operations teams to deliver safe, high‑quality food experiences at scale.

This role blends technical food safety expertise, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional leadership, ensuring that every kitchen, café, and service point meets the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and operational excellence.

Why This Role Matters

This role ensures that every meal served is safe, compliant, and aligned with the expectations of a world‑class workplace. You will shape the systems, behaviors, and culture that protect employees and elevate the culinary experience across a dynamic, high‑growth environment.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead food safety compliance — Ensure adherence to FDA Food Code, HACCP, and local health department regulations across all culinary operations.

  • Conduct safety audits — Perform routine inspections of kitchens, cafés, production areas, and storage to identify risks and drive corrective actions.

  • Manage incidents — Investigate foodborne illness claims, contamination events, and operational deviations; develop CAPA plans to prevent recurrence.

  • Deliver training — Create and facilitate engaging training on sanitation, allergen management, HACCP, and safe food handling for culinary teams and contractors.

  • Strengthen operational readiness — Support menu rollouts, equipment onboarding, and process changes to ensure safety is embedded into daily workflows.

  • Analyze safety data — Track KPIs, audit scores, temperature logs, and compliance trends; present insights to leadership to inform decisions.

What We Offer:

Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training. Sodexo offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision Care and Wellness Programs
  • 401(k) Plan with Matching Contributions
  • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
  • Career Growth Opportunities and Tuition Reimbursement

More extensive information is provided to new employees upon hire.

What You Bring:
  • Food safety expertise — Strong knowledge of HACCP, FDA Food Code, sanitation standards, and multi‑site food safety operations.

  • Audit and inspection skills — Proven ability to conduct thorough audits, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.

  • Incident investigation capability — Experience leading root‑cause analyses and developing CAPA plans in high‑volume environments.

  • Training and coaching strength — Ability to design and deliver engaging, practical training that drives behavior change.

  • Cross‑functional collaboration — Skilled at partnering with culinary, facilities, procurement, and workplace teams to maintain consistent standards.
