Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawaii's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawaii's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapiolani. The hospital is home to the Kapiolani Women's Center and the Women's Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapiolani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

Our Food and Nutrition Services department provides quality nutritious meals to patients, visitors and staff while educating on the importance of healthy eating habits. We also work with medical staff to ensure accurate diet modifications for patients as needed. The department is responsible for performing a variety of general preparation and food service activities, including tray assembly and delivery, working in the cafeteria, cashiering, ware washing, assisting with pantry functions, nourishment activities and catering.

As the Manager, you are responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and managing the overall operation of the Food and Nutrition Services department to ensure that quality food service and nutritional care is provided to the patients, employees, and guests. In this role, you will establish policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for cafeteria menu information, food preparation, distribution and service, budgeting, purchasing, sanitation standards, safety practices, staffing and staff development.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Food Service, Food Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Three (3) years of progressively more responsible experience managing food service programs in a health care setting.
