Manager Financial Planning and Analysis

Lewisville/Denton Texas Hybrid

$110,000 to $125,000 DOE

This position is annual bonus eligible

 



JOB SUMMARY
The Manager Financial Planning and Analysis directs and establishes controls to monitor the group’s operational plans and cost performance and policies in compliance with generally accepted accounting practices. Functions as a key member of the operations leadership team on strategic and tactical planning, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Oversees the annual business planning and budgeting process for the operating entity. Develops and coordinates necessary and appropriate accounting and statistical data for all departments of the operating entity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
• Jointly accountable for the cost control to the entity assigned through staffing analytics, direct operating cost oversight,      and other overall     strategies.
• Coordinate service delivery within the group by working with the Group Management Team and various air and ground       operations leaders    as required. Monitors monthly financial performance of locations in the group. In conjunction with     Group President, Group COO, Region Presidents, and RDs, develops and implements action plans.
• Participate as a key decision maker and strategic partner in the development and implementation of the company’s           business strategy and operational plans. Monitor performance against the plans. Recommend corrective action as             appropriate.
• Direct supervision of staff who have responsibility for conducting cost analysis. Participation in monthly operations             financial review.
• Direct finance, accounting, budgeting and payroll functions that leads to the most advantageous allocation of resources     and provide support for the operating groups within the organization.
• Oversees others who direct department activities that implement the organization's policies.
• Implements programs that meet corporate goals and objectives.
• Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the effective recording, analyzing, and           reporting of all financial matters in compliance with recognized accounting standards and government                               regulations.
• Direct and coordinate the establishment of budget processes and maintain budgetary control and compliance to                 company standards. Recommend corrective action, as necessary.
• Travel as required, at least 30% of time.
• Participate as an internal consultant to the groups on financial issues including, but not limited to, budget                         compliance/profit and loss, clinical performance, operational/contractual compliance, 3rd party billing compliance, etc.
• Provide support to group management on business strategy, contract review, negotiations, and pricing.
• Monitor and report on all operational metrics within the group. Sets up and follows through on any process                       improvement plans needed subsequent to metrics achievement deficiencies with the group.

• Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations if applicable, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned       personnel with a goal of developing a team oriented approach with positive results. Assist in driving performance             management. Comply with all employment laws and support affirmative action/equal opportunity and diversity goals.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting. Supervision experience preferred.

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• MBA or CPA preferred.

Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of Excel required; Word and Access preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Exhibits professionalism, is ethical and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Well-organized, analytical and self-directed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to relate to and interact with people at all levels of the               organization.
• Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative     solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
