GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role leads a team of financial analysts responsible for providing critical financial insights and support to various Institutes. The manager oversees the analysis of monthly financial results, monitor key metrics for performance management, budget management, and special project support. This position serves as a key liaison between AHN's other finance departments and operating units.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.20%

  • Communicate effectively within the team, amongst peers, and upwards to senior leadership20%

  • Oversee the review and analysis of monthly financial results for various products, identifying variances from performance plans and their impact on performance. Develop and present clear, concise, and actionable reports to stakeholders.15%

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and provide recommendations to support decision making. Special projects will be assigned, as needed.15%

  • Support the annual budget process15%

  • Team management and development: manage and mentor the team, provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a collaborative and high-performing team15%

  • Other duties as assigned or requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or an accounting field, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor"s degree

  • 4 years of experience in financial analysis experience

  • 2 years of experience in Management or leadership role

  • 2 years of experience in project management, delivering presentations or leading group discussions

Preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant

SKILLS:

  • Skills using Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Experience using report writers and query tools, specifically MS Access or SAS

  • Experience working with all levels of management

  • Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills while working in collaboration with others

  • Must understand the various components of financial reports, project planning, and profitability

  • Strong working knowledge of CMS regulations governing Medicare products
