We are seeking creative, analytic, results-focused safety professionals to contribute to our continued legacy.EHS Manager As an EHS Manager you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to support Otis Southwest area's efforts related to environmental and safety compliance. In your role you will partner with Otis Field Operations to identify, anticipate and assess hazards, and implement company EH&S policies and management systems, maintain regulatory compliance and reduce the impact of incidents and losses, including worker's compensation costs.Responsibilities Reinforce the importance of EHS in the organizationLead by example and enhance Otis Safety CultureActively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EHS objectivesPartner with operations to integrate EHS performance and ownership in the branch operations, actively participate in management review meetingsProvide strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement in EHS performanceCoordinate appropriate procedures, approvals, and control of hazardous, regulated and solid wastesManage all safety performance measures, documentation and training records in collaboration with field operationsLead Branch Safety Audits and incident investigations, supporting the development of corrective action plansEnsure compliance with legal and other requirements by integrating requirements into proceduresTrain and coach line management to recognize EH&S hazards and control risksSupport and evaluate the effectiveness of the communication program, including sharing of best practicesTravel to regional locations to support operations – 50-75% travel in local regionEducation / Certifications BA/BS degree in Health & Safety, and/or Environmental Management or related field of study or equivalent experience including elevator Field Operations experience in lieu of degreeMS/MBA degree with EH&S experience preferredExperience / Qualifications A minimum of 5+ years of EH&S experience or 7+ years of elevator technical field experienceEH&S in a field service/operations environment is preferredA broad understanding of all matters related to EH&S in a service environmentKnowledge of management systems, policies, strategies and systems needed to implement an EH&SStrong leadership, interpersonal, strategic thinking/planning and collaboration skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in field operations environment, including walking up multiple flights of stairs, navigating construction sites and other remote work environmentsStrong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)Prior elevator specific technical knowledge is an assetLocation Options Los Angeles, CA, Phoenix, AZ or Denver, COSalary The salary range for this role is $120,000-$140,000.
