Job Summary and Qualifications
Registered Technologist with both administrative and clinical accountability to the Imaging department and designated service area. Work with the Director of Imaging Services to plan budget, workflow, and staffing for all of the departments. Provides department coverage in the absence of the Director and provides assistance to all lead technologist to maintain compliance with staff competencies and quality requirements.
Assist leads with implementing and updating department-specific policies, procedures, and standards with adherence to facility, state, federal, and Joint Commission criteria. Oversees the ACR accreditations and monitors compliance of the ACR requirements. Provide leadership in development, optimization, and application of system protocols. Communicates on a daily basis all staff and patient-related issues or problems that occur.
Provide direction and action to ensure excellence in image quality and patient care employing techniques that are both appropriate to patient age and clinical condition. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and leadership in planning, directing, and provision of care to patients in accordance with hospital, department, policies, and procedures.
Completes Kronos payroll daily by 10:00 am. Completes vacation request and records in Outlook. Processes Lawson invoices and check request daily. Maintains compliance with ACR requirements and applies for renewals 3 months prior to expiration.
Works collaboratively with each department to maintain supply, inventory control. Completes random audits on a monthly basis and identifies problems and corrective action. Assists the Director of Imaging Services with staff recruitment, selection, and staff recognition. Assists with staff scheduling and patient coordination is maintained at all times.
Ensures proper system maintenance, operation, and care. Fosters staff development, teamwork, and effective communication. Ensures staff competency, ethical performance, and adherence to department, facility, Mission Statement, as well as state, federal, and Joint Commission Guidelines.
Undertakes the role of liaison to associate departments to educate, communicate, and promote safety standards, enhance patient flow, and minimize potential risks to personnel and equipment. Assists with the development, optimization, and implementation of protocols to enhance image quality. Reports all disciplinary issues to Director for follow-up.
Performs tasks of Staff Technologist as required.
Education & Experience
3-7 Years of Related Experience - Required 2 Year Associate Degree - Required ARRT License - Required
