Northrop Grummans Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager 2 of Data Analytics.
The Manager 2 will be reporting to a Manager 3 within the Process Compliance organization within Mission Assurance. This individual will be leading exciting, cutting-edge initiatives as Mission Assurance continues to build standard performance measures and develop timely insights to guide teams to deliver high quality products.
This role will sit in our El Segundo, CA location but we may also consider a hybrid work arrangement for this position.
As a manager of the Mission Assurance Analytics team, you will be responsible for managing a highly technical team, leading the technical analytics and data strategy for the Mission Assurance function, hands-on coaching, problem solving, and creating the right analytics capabilities that align with our mission assurance objectives.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing data analytics to drive value across our business, interacting regularly with stakeholders, and developing key analytics frameworks for all business areas turning data into business insights and predictive / autonomous outcomes.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Support requirements capture, design and technical implementation related to Data Analytics
Manage capacity, priorities, and performance for a high performing team of Database Engineers, Data Insight Analysts, and Data Scientists
Aligning Mission Assurance tools with functional, sector, and enterprise standards and best practices
Actively engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure services are delivered to meet or exceed expectations in a highly complex and dynamic environment
Acts as liaison with decision makers by providing data-informed strategic direction, and as a liaison with subject matter experts to obtain data sets and set expectations
Serving as the technical leader for all data tools for Mission Assurance
Building trust and working with Mission Assurance customers to understand organizational decision needs and relevant business questions.
Identifies, communicates, and quantifies opportunities for leveraging analytics solutions and applying data analytics.
Coordinating projects on classified programs
Upgrading and maintaining data infrastructure
Manage budget and people management
Project management/portfolio management
Demonstrate experience using analytics to inform business decisions
Demonstrate leadership skills in an analytics capacity as a project lead or people manager
Ability to extract and manipulate data from databases (e.g., SQL)
Ability to use statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python)
Proficient in data visualization using Tableau or similar visualization tool
Collaborating on projects with multiple teams, managing relationships, and communicating findings to audiences
Experience working with MES and SAP data
Establish best practices for data analytics execution
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and 9 years of Analysis, Mission Assurance, Systems Engineer or relevant experie
