The ideal candidate will have a balance of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a desire to grow alongside the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop the Cost Accounting team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environmentBuild strong relationships across finance, production, operations, supply chain and engineering to ensure alignment with company goalsCost Accounting Operations and Supply ChainOversee and enhance cost accounting processes, including month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timelinessPartner with operational leaders to analyze and improve manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and profitabilityPartner with Supply Chain leaders to ensure accurate supply chain costs are being tracked, recorded and analyzed to assist our supply chain leaders to manage to the most efficient supply chain possible. Implement Total Delivered Cost (TDC) concepts to lower all costs in the supply chainDocument and standardize cost accounting practices for consistency and efficiencyFixed Asset ManagementManage the accurate recording, depreciation, and reporting of fixed assetsEnsure compliance with capitalization policies and coordinate with operations on asset tracking and utilizationWork with FP&A to perform postmortem performance review on major capital projectsERP Implementation and System TransitionPlay a key role in the phased implementation of Infor SyteLine CSI, providing expertise to address challenges such as incomplete bills of materials and routingsEnsure that cost accounting processes are successfully integrated into the new systemCross-Functional CollaborationLead company-wide initiatives such as the physical inventory process, working with diverse teams to ensure accuracy and operational successAct as a key partner to operational and supply chain teams to support decision-making with actionable insightsStrategic ContributionsDevelop forward-looking cost strategies to support company growth and profitabilityProactively identify areas for improvement and innovation in cost accounting practicesVariance Analysis and ReportingInvestigate and report on variances between actual and standard costs, providing insights and recommendations to leadershipCreate detailed operational cost reports to aid production and supply chain teams in decision-makingInternal Controls and ComplianceEstablish internal controls related to cost accounting and fixed asset processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and external regulationsRequirementsBachelors degree in Finance or AccountingCMA designation preferred5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience, with leadership responsibilities.
