Summary of Job Duties:
The Clinical Contract Manager is responsible for managing the clinical portfolio of supply contracts for UAMS. This includes the throughput, upkeep, and repository management of agreements for capital equipment, clinical supplies, and clinical commodities under the supervision of the Director of Contract Services. The Clinical Contract Manager ensures that direct reports utilize standard methodologies for contract management and that analytics and reporting tools are used to maintain accurate, current contract data in Ntracts and other databases. This position collaborates with the Director of Supply Chain Contracting, the Value Analysis team, Data and Analytics team, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) representatives, product vendors, and clinicians to identify contract-related savings opportunities. When applicable, the Clinical Contract Manager delegates identified opportunities to direct reports and supervises the opportunity through completion. The Clinical Contract Manager ensures that all resulting work products comply with Arkansas State Laws, DFA Policies, U of A System Policies, and UAMS policies, regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field plus 4 years of experience in Supply Chain, Value Analysis, Nursing (RN/LPN), Surgical Technologist, and/or Contracting Experience including 2 years in a direct supervisory experience.
Ability to efficiently and successfully prioritize projects/schedules with internal and external customers.
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Adobe.
Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, ability to multi-task.
Ability to work effectively to motivate team with under tight deadlines.
Ability to work in an office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Paralegal, RN, LPN, Surgical Technologist.
Workday experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Understanding of complex/complicated prime vendor relationships including multiple vendor ordering.
Understanding of GPO relationships and agreements.
Experience of negotiating or managing contracts within a GPO framework.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret contract language, pricing structures, and utilization data.
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements related to purchasing and contracting (i.e. state procurement laws, compliance standards).
Ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians, Value Analysis, Procurement, and vendors to support product and contract alignment.
