Within People Services, our mission is to deliver exceptional experiences for employees and provide high‑quality centralized service support for HR. We are seeking a collaborative, strategic, and execution‑oriented HR Operations Manager to lead a team supporting compensation operations within Total Rewards Ops. This role blends hands‑on operational ownership with people leadership, driving both daily execution and long‑term process improvements to ensure consistent, accurate, and customer‑focused compensation operations across RTX.
What You Will Do
- Oversee day‑to‑day execution of compensation operational processes, ensuring accuracy, policy alignment, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.
- Process, validate, and audit compensation‑related transactions in Workday and other HR systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Manage operational components of annual compensation planning, including reporting, data validation, consolidation, and readiness activities in partnership with Total Rewards.
- Manage, coach, and develop the HR Operations employees supporting compensation‑related inquiries and processes across RTX's U.S. employee population.
- Maintain and enhance compensation metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to resolve complex or sensitive compensation issues.
- Analyze KPIs, trends, customer satisfaction data, and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- This is an 80/20 working manager role, with a strong emphasis on hands-on operational execution alongside team leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications You Must Have
- A University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, Total Rewards, or compensation‑focused HR roles.
- 5+ years of experience with Excel, including pivot tables and charts.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies, and drive solutions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience with ServiceNow and Workday.
- Experience supporting operational enhancements, continuous improvement projects, or system transitions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching and developing team members.
- Proven ability to manage complex workload, prioritize effectively, and deliver in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to document workflows, develop standard work, and create knowledge content.

Work Location: This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance of Farmington, CT, Charlotte, NC, or Cedar Rapids, IA.
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
