Build It. Grow It. Lead It.
This is a rare opportunity to be at the ground floor of something new.
We're launching and scaling a new commercial sales business, and we're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial sales leader who's excited to roll up their sleeves, hit the pavement, and build a new revenue stream from the ground up. If you thrive on prospecting, love building relationships, and want the chance to shape a business before it's fully built-this role was made for you.
Position Summary
The Manager of Commercial Sales will lead the charge in developing our commercial business by prospecting and winning new external customers while overseeing the sales and design process from initial contact through delivery. This is a hands-on, builder role-focused first on driving sales and establishing momentum, with the opportunity to develop and lead a commercial sales team as the business grows.
You'll play a critical role in creating something new, expanding our reach into small- and medium-sized commercial clients, and turning ambition into measurable results.
What You'll Do
- Build a new commercial customer base from the ground up, proactively prospecting and cultivating relationships with small to mid-sized organizations
- Own the full sales lifecycle-from lead generation through design, sourcing, and delivery
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline to fuel short- and long-term growth
- Plan and execute lead-generation initiatives, including trade shows, events, and networking opportunities
- Present solutions to prospective clients at meetings, trade shows, and conferences
- Deliver an exceptional, consultative customer experience throughout the sales process
- Partner one-on-one with business clients to design, source, and create inspiring commercial spaces
- Build strong relationships with vendors and merchants to secure products for commercial projects
- Forecast, set, and drive monthly and annual sales goals through data-driven analysis
- Work collaboratively with existing store teams as the business scales
- Help shape the future of the commercial business, including laying the foundation for a high-performing sales team
What You Bring
- 5+ years of successful experience in B2B sales, ideally within commercial furniture or a related industry
- Proven ability to develop new business and drive revenue growth
- A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with strong follow-through
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Experience with space planning and commercial environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
- Working knowledge of fire codes and ADA regulations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Comfort traveling as needed to support sales and relationship-building
- Strong computer and technical skills
Why This Role Stands Out
- Ground-floor opportunity to build and shape a new line of business
- High visibility and direct impact on revenue growth
- Ownership, autonomy, and the ability to turn ideas into action
- A path to build and lead a team as the business grows
- Unlimited potential for performance-driven success
The Bottom Line
This isn't a role where the playbook is already written.
It's for a builder. A seller. A leader.
Someone who's excited to create momentum, open doors, and turn opportunity into results.
If you're ready to help build the future of our commercial business, we want to hear from you.
The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000 plus commission. We share our pay range because transparency matters. This reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on experience and performance.
