Position Summary
The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Clinical Program – CRNP (Cap Region Cardiac Surgery Practice) to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the UM Cardiac Surgery Practice located at the Cap Region site. This role collaborates closely with clinical leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure APPs are supported in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a robust practice site to include assessment and organization of patients pre and post operatively.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Establish relationships with hospital and community partners to manage the cardiac surgical care
- Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis, outcomes tracking, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Work Experience
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
- Active and unrestricted Maryland licensure as a CRNP
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as an APP, preferably in an academic or acute care setting
- Prior experience in education, program development, or leadership strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, clinical training, and evidence-based practice
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Preferred experience with APP residency or fellowship programs
