Manager, Business Analysts
Americo is hiring a full time Manager of Business Analysts to join our expanding team!
Overview:
The Business and Quality Analysis department is responsible for partnering with business units to define, shape, and support strategic initiatives through effective analysis, stakeholder engagement, and solution development.
This role supports business unit leaders, analysts, QA leadership, and technology teams and plays a key role in transforming the Business Analysis function into an embedded business-partner model within established guidelines and service level expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and operationalize the embedded BA model in partnership with senior leadership and analysts.
- Lead and develop a team of Business Analysts and BA-leaning hybrid contributors.
- Build deep partnerships with business unit leaders and senior stakeholders.
- Partner closely with the QA Manager to govern shared BA/QA initiatives and standards.
- Shape BA practice standards for analysis, requirements, and stakeholder engagement.
- Drive strategic change while honoring institutional knowledge and team culture.
- Mentor analysts at all tenure levels to support growth and strategic impact.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive Business Analysis leadership experience, including direct people management.
- Demonstrated success building or evolving a BA function toward embedded partnership models.
- Experience managing analysts across multiple tenure levels, including senior contributors.
- Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills with senior business leaders.
- Experience developing analysts through coaching, career pathing, and stretch opportunities.
What success looks like in this role:
- Clear definition of the embedded BA model, co-authored with senior leadership and grounded in proven practice
- BAs who feel known, developed, and growing — at every tenure level
- Stronger business-unit partnerships and clearer ROI from BA engagement
- A productive working partnership with the QA Manager — joint ownership of shared concerns
- A BA discipline that's repeatable, durable, and a genuine career destination
What We Offer:
- A team that values mutual respect and integrity — our culture is collaborative and team-oriented; leaders here mentor, develop, and invest in their people.
- Genuine ownership of the BA function — this isn't a role where you're managing in someone else's shadow. You'll define the practice.
- Strategic influence — you'll work closely with senior leadership on the transformation of how our team partners with the business.
- Investment in your team's growth — we have active programs in training modernization, knowledge transfer, and career development that you'll inherit and shape.
- Strong colleagues — you'll be joining a team that includes deep institutional expertise, fresh change-driving energy, and a real commitment to excellence.
Is This Role For You?
This role is a great fit if you:
- Are energized by building things — practices, teams, capabilities — rather than maintaining what exists
- Value relationships as the foundation of effective BA work, not just process and documentation
- Believe great BAs are part analyst, part business p\artner, part strategic advisor
- Lead with both drive and care — you push for change without losing sight of the people who live it
- Honor expertise and tenure while still moving the team forward
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and good at creating clarity from it
This role may not the right fit if you:
- Are looking for a role where the practice is fully defined and you're the one to maintain it
- Prefer to work alone rather than in close peer partnership
- Need to dismantle existing work to put your stamp on something
- Are primarily process-and-documentation oriented without business-facing instincts
