The HCA ITG Manager of Automation is primarily responsible for driving the execution and delivery of high value enterprise automation solutions; as well as for the evaluation, selection, implementation, and support of enterprise automation technology and platforms. The Manager may use their staff to define solutions for enterprise impacting automation ideas, develop those solutions using the appropriate technical framework, and provide ongoing support through the automations lifecycle. The Manager may also implement, support, and maintain enterprise automation platforms for use by an ever growing enterprise development community.
The Manager of Automation, develops, coordinates, recommends, and implements how their teams will assist in achieving the goals and objectives of their assigned business line(s), overall ITG, and the company. They frequently meet with other ITG and Corporate department management, and may meet with company senior executives.
The Manager of Automation:
- Drives execution of the automation projects and technology within and across business unit engagements
- Drives adoption of the company automation strategy and simplification processes
- Maintains a working knowledge of automation goals related to the business lines supported
- Maintains a current knowledge of the issues facing both information systems and healthcare industries
- Routinely provides creative and innovative ideas and approaches that will improve the automation delivery and support of HCA
- Independently and in conjunction with other ITG or corporate departments, works to achieve company automation goals and to create platform and development standards and policies to refine the ability to reach and maintain said goals.
- Ensures that functional area(s) deliver products and services effectively, develops its staff and capabilities, follows processes and standards, builds and expands relationships with key stakeholders, and plans and allocates resources to meet ITG goals.
Direct reports to this position may include:
- All levels of Automation Analysts responsible for the support of Automation platforms, automation development initiatives, and support of the enterprise automation development community
- All levels of Automation Engineers responsible for solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of enterprise automations
- All levels of System Engineers responsible for implementing and supporting enterprise automation technologies and platforms to include public/private cloud, SAS, and on-prem implementations
